struggles for acceptance, with the support
and love of his mother, who herself has
issues.  Today, May 14, 2017, is Mother's
Day.  The movie won an Oscar for Makeup.

Star Wars Day, May 4, to the
birthday of Star Wars creator,
George Lucas, born May 14,
1944.

The Long Way Home (1997) tells the story
of the establishment of the State of Israel, from
after World War II to the date of Israel's
independence in 1948, on May 14.  The movie
won an Oscar as Best Feature Documentary.
