Movies for the Day, Tuesday, July 14, 2020

Today's movies mark France, Mariner 4, and the birthday of Woody Guthrie.

Which of today's movies would you watch?

The Earrings of Madame De ... (1953)
is a classic movie about events after
earrings are pawned.  This is an excellent
romantic drama.  It is a French movie and France's national
holiday is July 14, 1789.

It!  The Terror From Beyond Space
(1958) is about a monster that stows
away on a Mars expedition ship.
Alien owes much to this movie.  Mariner 4
to Mars was launched November 28,
1964, and its closest approach to Mars was
July 14, 1965, the first mission to the Red
Planet.  A science fiction thriller.
