Today's movies mark high school and Star Trek.

Fame (1980) is a musical drama
about students at New York City's High
School for the Performing Arts.  This inspiring
movie won Oscars for Original Song, Fame,
and Original Score.  September is the traditional
back to school month.

U.S.S. Callister (2018) is an episode
of the anthology series Black Mirror,
season 4, episode 1.  The series was inspired
by The Twilight Zone.  The episode
is heavily dependent on Star Trek allusions.
Star Trek day is September 8 as the series
first aired September 8, 1966.  U.S.S.
Callister, a TV movie, won Emmys for Outstanding
TV movie, Writing, Picture Editing, and
Sound Editing.

II submarine drama.  It won an
Oscar for Sound Effects.  World War
II started when Germany invaded Poland
on September 1, 1939.
