Movies for the Day, Thursday, August 6, 2020

Today's movies mark the birthdays of Tennyson, Ella Raines, and Hiroshima.

Which of today's movies would you watch?

The Charge of the Light Brigade (1936) is
based upon the poem by Alfred Lloyd Tennyson
(born August 6, 1808) about the English
army in India and romance.  There is also a
1968 version.

Phantom Lady (1944) is about a
man framed for murder of his wife..
This very good suspense movie has
a special drumming scene.  It stars
Ella Raines, born August 6, 1920.

Hiroshima (1995) is a dramatic
movie about the events and decisions leading to
the atomic bombing of Hiroshima on August
