of World War II.  World War II began
on September 1, 1939, when Germany invaded
Poland.

a professor of English literature diagnosed
with ovarian cancer.  This movie won
Emmys for Directing, Picture Editing, and
Outstanding Made for TV Movie.  September
is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.

Special Bulletin (1983) is a TV movie
about a terrorist group that brings a homemade
atomic bomb aboard a tugboat into the harbor
of Charleston, South Carolina, to blackmail the United
States into disabling its nuclear weapons.  It won an
Emmy for Technical Direction and Electronic
Camerawork, Writing, Video Tape Editing, and
Outstanding Drama Special.  The 9/11 terrorist
attacks occurred in 2001.
