Today's movies mark National Wilderness Month, Labor Day, and Vietnam Independence Day.

Disney True Life Adventure Series
entry (#2) about animal life on the Great
Plains.  It won an Oscar for Feature
Documentary.  September is National
Wilderness Month.

American Dream (1990) chronicles
a labor strike at a meat packing
plant from 1985 to 1986.  This
very good movie won an Oscar for Best
Feature Documentary.  Labor Day is today.

Indochine (1992) is a drama and
romance set against the backdrop of
Vietnam's struggle for independence
against France in the 1930s.  This movie
won an Oscar as Best Foreign Film.  Vietnam
celebrates its independence from France on
September 2 (1945).
