(1975) is an episode of the Boston
Symphony Orchestra's PBS TV series
Evening at Symphony.  Seiji Ozawa, seen right
in 1963 and born September 1, 1935,
won an Emmy for Outstanding Achievement
in Music Direction in 1976 for the episode.

attempt to rescue experimental
chimps.  September 1 is
International Primate Day.

an alternate history of World War
II, especially an assassination plot against
Nazi leadership.  It was directed by
Quentin Tarantino, born March 27, 1963, and
stars Brad Pitt, born December 18, 1963.
It won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor,
to Christopher Waltz.  World War II began
September 1, 1939, when Germany invaded
Poland.
