The Winslow Boy (1948) is a courtroom
drama set in pre-World War I England about
the defense of a naval cadet accused of theft
at the school.  It was remade in 1999.  May 1 is
Law Day.  A very good movie.

Apollo (1985) is a TV
special airing May 19, 1985,
on the 50th anniversary of the
famed theatre.  It won Emmys for
Sound and Outstanding Variety,
Musical or Comedy Program.

animated miniseries about a fictional
English royalty.  Great Britain was formed
May 1.
