Today's movies mark Law Day, the Grateful Dead, and Cinco de Mayo.

Which of today's movies would you watch?








Sworn to Silence (1987) is a TV
movie about a lawyer defending an accused
murderer who tells the lawyer of the location
of bodies but the lawyer is sworn to silence.
May 1 is Law Day.  This movie won an Emmy
for Supporting Actor, to Dabney Coleman.

Tie-Died:  Rock 'n Roll's Most Dedicated
Fans (1995) is a documentary about the
Grateful Dead and especially their fans.  The
Grateful Dead's first show was May 5, 1965,
at Magoo's Pizza in Menlo Park, California (they
were then known as the Warlocks).  Their first show
under the name Grateful Dead was December 4,
1965, in San Jose, California.

Roma (2018) is about a middle class family's
maid in 1970s Mexico City.  May 5 is
Cinco de Mayo.  This movie won Oscars for
Best Director, Cinematography, and Best
Foreign Language Film.
