Today's movies mark the birthdays of Robert Louis Stevenson, Philip Francis Nowlan, and Whoopi Goldberg.  Which of today's selections would you watch?









Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1932) is the oft-
filmed story by Robert Louis Stevenson about
the good and evil sides of man.  Stevenson was
born November 13, 1850.  This 1932 version won
an Oscar for Best Actor, to Fredric March (born

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century
(September 20, 1979 to April
16, 1981) is an updated version
of the astronaut who must battle
alien invaders in the far future.  This version
lasted two seasons and 37 episodes.  It
won an Emmy for Dramatic
Undersccore.  Buck Rogers was created
in 1928 by Philip Francis Nowlan, who
was born November 13, 1888.

Ghost (1990) is a passionate
fantasy involving a ghost.  This
romance features an American Film
Institute Song, Unchained Melody.  It won
Oscars for Supporting Actress, to
Whoopi Goldberg, born November
13, 1949, and Writing.
