comedy about a World War II ship loaded with
whisky sinking off the coast of a Scottish
island. June 24 (1314) is Bannockburn Day,
commemorating the battle where Robert Burns
won independence for Scotland.

about a Civil War execution, aka
La Riviere du Hibou. It is based on the
story by Ambrose Pierce, born June 24,
1842. It won an Oscar for Best Live
Action Short Subject.

graduating high school seniors in Los
Angeles in 1965- currents of JFK, civil rights,
and Vietnam. June is the traditional high
school graduation month.
