Movies for the Day, Saturday, July 7, 2018

Today's movies mark the date of a London bombing, National Day in France, and a pop debut single.

Seven Days to Noon (1950) is about a threat
to detonate a nuclear weapon in London if
demand for nuclear disarmament is not met.  Today
is the anniversary of terrorist bombings in
London on July 7, 2005.  This movie won
an Oscar for Original Screenplay.  A very good
movie.

Small Change (1976) is a very
good movie about the lives of
young children in a small French
village.  This movie is another in
our July series about France- July 14
is France's National Holiday (Bastille
Day).
