Today's movies mark the birthday of Dr. Seuss, the Oscars, and National Eye Donor Month.
Gerald McBoing Boing (1951) is about a
boy who speaks through sound effects instead
of words. This cartoon is based on a story by
the beloved Dr. Seuss, who was born March 2, 1904.
This animated short (8 minutes) won an Oscar as
Best Short Film, Cartoons, and is on the National
Film Registry. It is considered one of the best
cartoons ever.

fugitive who replaces a stunt man. The
Academy Awards air Sunday, March 4.

Magnificent Obsession (1954) is the
story of a playboy who becomes a surgeon
to fix the eyes of a woman he loves. March is
National Eye Donor Month.
