Today's movies mark the birthday of Michelangelo, a concert in Ghana, and the Oscars.
The Agony and the Ecstasy (1965) is the story
of Michelangelo's painting of the Sistine Chapel
in the Vatican and his conflicts with Pope Julius II.
Michelangelo was born March 6, 1475.

of a concert on March 6, 1971, in
Ghana marking the 14th anniversary of
that country's independence- featuring
soul, jazz, and gospel.

Cinema Paradiso (1988) is about the
movies and a friendship between
a boy and and a projectionist. This
movie won an Oscar as Best Foreign
Film. The Academy Awards were just two
days ago, on March 4.
