Today's movies mark International Women's Day and Music in Our Schools Month.







Growing Up Female (1971) is about six young
women and girls growing up in America.  It is one
of the first films of the modern women's movement and
is on the National Film Registry.  Today is
International Women's Day.

a high school music teacher.  March is
Music in Our Schools Month.

Desperate Housewives (October 3, 2004 to
May 13, 2012) is about a group of suburban
women.  This drama/mystery/comedy lasted
eight seasons and 180 episodes.  In 2005, it
won Emmys for Guest Actress, to Kathryn
Joosten, for Lead Actress, to Felicity Huffman,
for Directing and Editing, for the pilot, for Casting, and
for Outstanding Main Title Theme Music.  Today is
International Women's Day.
