Today's movies mark Law Day, the opening ceremonies of the 1924 Olympics, and International Respect for Chickens Day.

about a young Montana lawyer who moves
to California with his family and encounters
problems while studying for the Bar exam. This
selection continues our Law Day series. Law

Chariots of Fire (1981) is about
track champions at the 1924 Olympics, which
opened May 4, 1924. The two champions,
Harold Abrahams and Eric Liddell, won
gold medals, respectively, in the 100 and
400 meter runs. This inspiring movie won
Oscars for Best Picture, Writing, Costume
Design, and Original Score. Abrahams was born
December 15, 1899, and Liddell was born January
16, 1902.
Chariots of Fire
Chicken Run (2000) is an animated
movie about chickens escaping the coop.
