with extraordinary powers.  October is
Halloween month.

from the Metropolitan Opera featuring
the famous opera by Giuseppe Verdi,
born October 9 or 10, 1813.  It won an Emmy
for Outstanding Classical Program
in the Performing Arts.  The opera is set
in Egypt.

The Burning Season (1994) is a television
movie about labor activist Chico Mendes in the
Amazon rainforest.  This movie won
Emmys for Outstanding Lead Actor, to Raul
Julia, and for Directing.  October 9 to 14,
2018, is World Rainforest Week.
