The Mickey Mouse Club (1955-1958) is
a very popular youth variety show hosted
by Mickey Mouse. The show premiered
October 3, 1955. Mickey Mouse first appeared
as Steamboat Willie on November 18,
1928 (Mickey Mouse's birthday). The
show won an Emmy in 1956 as Best Children's
Series. The series had 175 episodes.

Raise the Red Lantern (1991) is a
historical drama about 1920s China
and concubines and noblemen. October
1 is China's National Holiday. See also
