at the early days of aviation.  This film
won an Oscar for One-Reel Short Films- it is about
22 minutes long.  The Wright Brothers' first
flight took place December 17, 1903.

of Silence, is a short documentary about
ancient civilizations in Mexico.  It won Oscars
for Best Short Subject- Live Action Film and
Best Documentary, Short Subjects.  An important
discovery about ancient Mexican civilizations
occurred December 17, 1790- the Aztec Calendar
Stone Discovery.

The Simpsons Movie (2007) takes
the long-running animated sitcom to the
big screen.  It won a Peoples Choice Award for
Favorite Movie Comedy.  The extremely
popular sitcom premiered December 17,
1989.
