Movies for the Day, Monday, February 4, 2019

Today's movies mark the founding of the USO and the birthdays of Ida Lupono and Rob Corddry.

Follow the Boys (1944) is a movie made
to entertain overseas troops during WW II.
It features many stars and their routines.  The
USO (United Service Organizations) which organizes
live entertainment for the troops was founded
February 4, 1941.

The Bigamist (1953) is about a
businessman secretly married to two
women forced to confront his deceit.  It
was directed by and starred in by Ida
Lupino, born February 4, 1918.

Children's Hospital (July 11, 2010 to
April 15, 2016) is a satire of the medical
drama genre in which the medical professionals are
more focused on their personal (love) lives than the
patients.  This comedy aired on Adult Swim for seven
seasons and 86 episodes of 11 minutes each.  Rob
Corddry, born February 4, 1971, was the show's creator,
a developer, star and an executive producer. The show won
Emmys for Acting, to Rob Corddry, and Outstanding Short Form
Comedy of Drama Series.
