Today's movies mark the birthdays of Jane Wyman, Robert Duvall, and the Prague Spring.
Which of today's movies would you watch?
Johnny Belinda (1948) is about a young deaf-mute
woman, rape, and ensuing accusation. This
movie won an Oscar for Best Actress, to Jane Wyman,
born January 5, 1917. Wyman was Ronald Reagan's first
wife. A very good movie. See also the Hallmark Hall of Fame episode Johnny Belinda, which was nominated for an Emmy in
1959.
