Today, March 2, in movies, we celebrate the birthdays of actress Jennifer Jones (1919) and author John Irving (1942).  Today is also the anniversary of the release of the classic movie King Kong in 1933.



The classic movie King Kong (1933) has the great gorilla
climbing the Empire State Building in New York City.  It is
listed on the National Film Register, won an Oscar for
visual effects, and is listed on many American Film
Institute best movie lists.
