Florida hotel during a storm.  Claire Trevor, born
March 8, 1910, won an Oscar as Supporting
Actress.

The Magnificent Yankee (1950) is the story of
Oliver Wendell Holmes, born March 8, 1841,
who served on the United States Supreme
Court from 1902 to 1932.  The Hallmark Hall
of Fame produced another outstanding
version which won numerous Emmys in 1965.

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (1997), originally known as The
Wind in the Willows, tells the classic children's
story by Kenneth Grahame, born this date, March 8, in
1859.  It is a non-animated version.
