Today's movies mark the birthday of President Nixon and the opening of Ellis Island.

Which of today's movies would you watch?

Dick (1999) is a comedy about two teenage
girls who wander off a White House tour into
the Presidency of Richard Nixon.  This comedy
features a surprisingly adept view of the President.

Inocente (2012) is a coming-of-age story
of a 15-year-old California girl, homeless and
undocumented, who holds on to her dream of
becoming an artist.  This film won an Oscar
for Best Short Subject Documentary.  Ellis Island,
the famous New York City immigration center,
opened on January 1, 1892- hence, January is a
good month to watch movies about immigration
and undocumented persons.
