Skateboarding, summer camp, and Edward Snowden are the topics for today's features.





Skateboard (1978) seems a logical choice
for today, National Skateboarding Day.

Camp Lazlo (July 8, 2005 to March 27, 2008) is
about summer camp with anthropormorphic
animal characters.  Today is the first day of summer.
A Cartoon Network offering, this series (61
episodes) garnered several Emmys including
Outstanding Animated Program.  Especially noted
are Where's Lazlo?, Squirrel Streets, and Lazlo's
First Crush.  The series was created by Joe Murray.

Citizenfour (2015) is an HBO documentary
about infamous Edward Snowden who
leaked classified National Security Agency
information.  Snowden was born this date, June 21,
in 1983.  The film won an Emmy for
Exceptional Merit and an Oscar for Feature
Documentary.
