Today's movies mark National Adoption Month, the birthday of author Theodor Dostoyevsky, and the birthday of General Patton (and Veterans Day).
Hell's Heroes (1929) is a western about
three outlaws on the run who tend to an
orphan baby. An oft-told tale of three men
and a baby. November is National
Adoption Month.

Crime and Punishment (1935) is a movie
version of the classic novel by Fyodor
Dostoyevsky, the famous Russian author
born November 11, 1821. It is about a
man haunted by a murder he has
committed.

Patton (1970) is a biographical look at
controversial World War II General George
S. Patton, born November 11, 1885. This movie won
Oscars for Best Picture, Best Actor, to George
S. Scott, Best Director, Writing, Art Direction-Set
Decoration, Sound, and Film Editing. This movie is
on the National Film Registry and gave us an
American Film Institute Hero- General Patton. Also, today
is Veterans Day.
