Today's movies mark an international day for persons with disabilities, the birthday of author Joseph Conrad, and the birthday of musician Ozzy Osbourne.





First Steps (1947) is a documentary
about the treatment of children with
disabilities.  Today is United Nations
International Day of Persons With
Disabilities.  This film won an Oscar for
Short Documentaries.

Heart of Darkness (1993) is based
on the classic novel by Joseph Conrad,
about a trip up an African river in search
of a madman- evil is discovered.  Conrad
was born December 3, 1857.  This
television movie won an Emmy for
Sound Editing.

The Osbournes (March 5, 2002 to March
21, 2005) is a television reality series about
the domestic life of heavy metal rocker
Ozzy Osbourne, born December 3, 1948.
The show ran four seasons and 52 episodes.
It won an Emmy for Outstanding Non-
Fiction Program, Reality.
