Today's movies mark a Mongolian holiday and the birthdays of Bonnie Pointer and John Quincy Adams.
Which of today's movies would you watch?
Storm Over Asia (1928) is about a Mongolian
trapper, Soviet partisans, and a puppet Mongolian
ruler propped up by the British (a descendant of
Genghis Khan). July 11 (1921) is Naadam National
Holiday, marking the overthrow of the feudal
monarch. The Mongolia Republic was declared
November 26 (1924). This is a very good movie.

Alice's Restaurant (1969) is based on
the classic song by Arlo Guthrie, who
also stars in this movie. Guthrie was
born July 10, 1947.
Alice's Restaurant
Amistad (1997) is a courtroom drama
about slavery and featuring ex-president
John Quincy Adams, born July 11, 1767.
