Today's movies mark the birthdays of Buster Keaton, Damon Runyan, and Charlton Heston.

Buster Keaton silent comedy about
a romance in the South.  Keaton was born
October 4, 1895.  An excellent movie.

Lady for a Day (1933) is about a
gangster who tries to make a New York
City apple vendor into a lady.  It is based
on a story by Damon Runyon, born
October 4, 1884.  An excellent movie.

Ben-Hur (1959) is about the Roman Empire
and the Jewish people.  This thrilling and inspiring
movie is based on a Lew Wallace novel and is on the
National Film Registry and features an American Film
Institute Score by Miklos Rozsa.  It won Oscars for Best
Picture, Best Actor, to Charlton Heston, born October 4,
1922, Best Supporting Actor, to Hugh Griffith, Best Director,
to William Wyler, Cinematography, Art Direction/Set
Decoration, Costume Design, Sound, Film Editing, Special Effects,
and Music Scoring.  This epic movie features a great chariot
