classic play by Eugene O'Neill, who was
born October 16, 1888. It was the last film
appearance by Fredric March.

to grow and beats a drum in frustration. This
mesmerizing movie is partially set against the
period when the Nazis came to power in Germany.
This excellent movie won an Oscar as Best Foreign
Film. It is based on the classic novel by
Gunter Grass, born October 16, 1927.
