Today's movies mark a Bigfoot anniversary, China's national holiday, and Roller Skating Month.

Harry and the Hendersons (1987) is a
family comedy about Bigfoot.  The most
famous film of Bigfoot, the Patterson-Gimlin
film, is from October 20, 1967.  This movie
won an Oscar for Makeup.

The Inn of the Sixth Happiness
(1958) is about an Englishwoman who
runs an inn in China in turbulent times,
including the Japanese invasion.  China's
national holiday is October 1.  This movie
won a Golden Globe for Motion Picture
Promoting International Understanding.

Rollerball (1975) is science fiction
(set in 2018) about a future violent sport
of Rollerball.  October is Roller Skating
Month.
