Today's movies mark Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Wolf Moon, and Figure Skating Month.
King: A Filmed Record...Montgomery to
Memphis (1970) is a documentary history
of Martin Luther King Jr., the great civil
rights activist whose birthday is a national
holiday celebrated today in 2018. This movie
is on the National Film Registry.

The Howling (1981) is about
werewolves and is another installment
in my January Wolf Moon series, to
be continued January 20, 25, and 30.
Followed by Howlings II through VI (the
last in 1991).

The Cutting Edge (1992) is about
Olympic figure skating, especially
pairs. January is National Figure
Skating Month. Also, the Winter
Olympics are coming up in February
2018.
