Today's movies mark the birthday of author Michael Bond, the anniversary of an air disaster, and the birthday of actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

television series about the adventures of a teddy
bear in London.  The series is based on a
children's book series by Michael Bond.  The
series won an Emmy as Outstanding Children's
Program in 1981.

River in Washington, D.C., on
January 13, 1982.  This is a television
movie.

Veep (2012- ) is a political satire and comedy
starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, born January
13, 1961.  She has won multiple Emmys as
lead actress in the television series.  She plays
Vice President Selina Meyer.  In 2015, it won an
Emmy as Outstanding Comedy Series.
