military in World War II, battling each other
in the basement. Tom and Jerry had origins
in Puss Gets the Boot, released February 10,
1940. This film won an Oscar for Best Short
Subject, Cartoons.

Downhill Racer (1969) is about great
Olympic skier Jean-Claude Killy of
France, born August 30, 1943. He won the
men's downhill at the 1968 Winter Olympics
in Grenoble, France, which opened
February 6, 1968. The 2018 Winter
Olympics opened yesterday, February
9, 2018.

Seven Up! (1964) follows the lives of a
number of children as they grow up and
then as adults; the documentaries are
spaced out every seven years. All except
the first have been directed by Michael
Apted, who was also involved in the first.
They include 7 Plus Seven (1970), 21 Up (1977),
28 Up (1984), 35 Up (1991), 42 Up (1998),
49 Up (2005), and 56 Up (2012). Apted was born
February 10, 1941. The Up documentaries
are an acclaimed series.
