Today's movies mark the beginning of school, the beginning of World War II, and the founding of Los Angeles.  Which of today's movies would you watch?

hazing at at elite college in about 1954.
September is traditionally back to school month
for colleges.

The Eagle Has Landed (1977) is about
a plot to capture Winston Churchill during
World War II.  It is based on a novel by
Jack Higgins.  World War II began
September 1, 1939, when Germany invaded
Poland.

Beverly Hills Cop (1984) is an action comedy
about a Detroit cop in Beverly Hills.  It stars
Eddie Murphy.  It was followed by the
sequels Beverly Hills Cop II (1987) and Beverly
Hills Cop III (1994).  Los Angeles was founded
September 4, 1781.  Police Week is in May.
