Today's movies mark the birthdays of composer Johann Strauss, actor Leo G. Carroll, and artist Picasso.



The Great Waltz (1938) is a biography of Johann
Strauss, the great waltz composer, focusing on 1840s
Vienna.  Strauss was born October 25, 1825.  The movie
won an Oscar for Cinematography.

15, 1955) is about an uptight banker
and two ghosts only he could see.  This
fantasy sitcom lasted two seasons and
78 episodes.  This memorable television
series fits into the Halloween season.
